Haukur Steinn Logason is a Developer at Gagarin in Reykjavik, Iceland.

In his previous job Haukur Logason was the Head of Games and a Co-founder of Radiant Games. At Radiant he lead the design and implementation of Box Island, a game which sparks children’s interest in  the fundamental concepts of coding. The game has been downloaded over 500,000 times! He graduated from Reykjavik University in 2014 with a degree in Computer Science, during his studies he interned at the Fraunhofer Center for Experimental Software Engineering.

The mission of Radiant Games was to empower children by providing the best playful coding experiences possible. They spark interest by crafting innovative coding games that engage through active participation. They ensure a trusted bond with parents and schools through quality and integrity, where children learn as they play.

In partnership with his co-founder Haukur Steinn Logason developed the vision, strategy and secured funding for the company. Haukur Steinn Logason and his partner recruited a team of 10 and lead that team in design and development of their first title, Box Island.

Originally he participated in coding but as the development team grew, Haukur Steinn Logason began working on product management and design almost exclusively. He focused on maintaining a clear product roadmap with ambitious but achievable milestones and integrated and facilitated the agile processes and took responsibility for conducting 25+ formal and informal user tests to guide development. During beta er he used KPIs to adjust level design and monetization strategy. Haukur Steinn Logason and his partner attended conferences, built out their network and partnered with leading organizations and schools in the US to validate their product.

The game, called Box Island, shipped on time, within budget and the launch was featured by the App Store because of its quality. It has won a number of awards and has been covered by TechCrunch, The Guardian and AdWeek among others. Box Island has been featured by Apple and Google from launch and received over 700 thousand downloads.

In addition to working as a developer for Gagarin, Haukur Steinn Logason is a Final Project Advisor at Reykjavik University.
