HannaH Crowell is an Exhibition Designer at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina.
As Exhibitions Designer, HannaH Crowell is a key team member of the Collections & Exhibitions Department, and has an integral role in the execution of the Museum’s ambitious schedule of exhibitions, installations, and gallery rotations. The Exhibitions Designer implements the Museum’s strategic priorities in collaboration with the Director of Collections & Exhibitions, Curators, Educators, Registrars, and other staff. In this position HannaH Crowell provides leadership for cross-departmental collaboration to implement the highest stewardship standards for the Museum’s collections and exhibitions.
Before joining The Mint Museum in 2016, HannaH Crowell was the Gallery Director at the Appalachian State University Art Department. HannaH Crowell was responsible for directing and managing all aspects of the Smith Gallery and the Visiting Professional program of the Art Department. Her critical duties included working with faculty, staff, and students to administer the galleries to facilitate exhibitions and programs ranging from student exhibitions to programs with internationally recognized artists. She would also strategize, plan, coordinate, and carry out the exhibition schedule and manage the gallery budget, facilities and external communications. While there HannaH Crowell also mentored students—training and preparing students for the installation of their shows; trains and supervises student workers; conducts workshops on professional practices for artists.
HannaH Crowell started her career as an Exhibition Designer at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts in Boone, NC.
HannaH Crowell earned her Bachelors Degree in Design and Production - Scene Design from the North Carolina, School of the Arts.
