Hamish Smyth is a New York based graphic designer. Hamish holds a Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) degree with Honors from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University), Melbourne, Australia.
From 2010 to 2016 Hamish Smyth worked at the New York office of Pentagram Design under partner Michael Bierut on a variety of identity, wayfinding, and publication design projects. In 2015, he became an associate partner. He is also owner of Hamish Smyth Design.
In 2014 he became the design director at Standards Manual, an independent publishing label dedicated to the preservation of design history, founded by Smyth and Jesse Reed. They strive to archive and preserve lost artifacts of design history and make them available to future generations.
