Gregory Nakata is a Architectural Designer at Olson Kundig Architects. He holds a Masters in Architecture from the City University of New York City College and Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Ohio. He regards international travel and cultural and social exploration among the most significant drivers towards his understanding of architecture and its virtues. He places emphasis on bold, cerebral, and sensitive processes that catalyze ethical and expressive deign solutions in the built environment.
Gregory Nakata's past contributions as Graphics Manager at HWKN have been published in Architectural Digest, Museum of Modern Art, GDR Global Innovation Report, Taschen Architecture Now, Architizer, and MSNBC. He was a Design and Production Coordinator and adjunct lecturer at CITYWORKS Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York. He was a Architectural Design Consultant at Berman Horn Studio, and a Architectural Design Consultant for Woods Bagot.
Project collaborations include: Architizer, WoodsBagot, Hopkins Architects, Bruce Mau Design, and the City College of New York.
Since 2009 Gregory Nakata's own academic design work has been exhibited in London, New York, Seattle, and Idaho; published in Portfolio Design 4th edition; and featured on the ISSUU.com Architecture and Design Shelf.
