GKD Metal Fabrics (Cambridge, Md.) announced that Tom Bialk, solar engineer and GKD designer, received LEED Green Associate accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Bialk has worked in architectural engineering for 20+ years and leads GKD sustainability ventures. Recently, he represented GKD at the Architect’s Newspaper Facades+ Performance conference and spoke on the solar management and sustainability benefits of GKD Metal Fabrics.
LEED Green Associates earn their credentials by passing a two-hour, multiple-choice exam and are required to maintain their credential through continuing education.
