Lost & Found: The Art of Getting Lost & The Science of Finding Your Way
A Mid-West Chapter Virtual Event with SEGD Fellow David Gibson
TUESDAY, JUNE 2 AT 5PM CST
People make trips every day. Long or short, these journeys are usually done with a purpose, sometimes not. As designers, it is our job to help people find their way. At the same time we also want to empower people to wander and get lost, to have creative meandering alongside their directed journeys.
Author, designer and SEGD Fellow David Gibson will share stories of four remarkable women in his family, and his insights on how people navigate, what happens when they get lost and how design can help them find the right path. His talk will shed light on how public information design can give people the tools they need to become informed and confident travelers. This session will perhaps be a tonic for those who are sheltering in place and long to go get lost in the world once again. Stay with us for a Q&A session with David after the talk.
David Gibson is Co-Founder and Principal of Two Twelve. In 2020, David Gibson celebrates forty years of Two Twelve and over fifty years as a designer. Read more about David here.
