2008 Angel Award honoree, former Denver Chapter Co-Chair, and Chapter Liaison to the Board
George Lim is a Principal Partner/Creative Director of Tangram Design, a lecturer at the University of Colorado School of Environmental Design, and an active member of the SEGD, as a Denver Chapter Chair.
Tangram is a creative design firm whose design focus is the practice of environmental graphic design (EGD) – a discipline that involves the planning and design of signage and wayfinding systems. With roots that stem from traditional graphic design, Tangram also offers quality brand/identity, publication, print design, and digital media services.
With over 20 years of professional experience, George has established himself as a leader in the practice of environmental graphic design and as an authority in the design of branded environments for culturally sensitive, municipal and private projects. His experience includes designing and implementing branded wayfinding signage systems and programming for airports, universities, municipalities, mixed-use/retail environments, transit stations and parks.
George Lim has been involved with teaching environmental graphic design at the university level for over ten years. With active involvement in educational efforts headed by SEGD and of his own personal accord, George Lim has developed several EGD curriculums and workshops that are used by universities across the nation.
George Lim is the 2016 SEGD Chapter Liaison.
