I can’t draw to save my life and I don’t know Photoshop. What I do know is that most in-venue digital communication - from digital signage and self-service kiosks to curated exhibits and employee communication - tends to play it safe. Correcting this lack of ambition is going to take a combination of creative professionals with domain expertise and technology fit for place-based engagement.
SEGD is the right community for the first part. As an Industry Professional here on SEGD, I represent a possible solution for the second part.
I am Chief Marketing Officer for Intuiface, a no-code platform dedicated to the delivery of rich interactive digital experiences that connect audiences to place. I’ve been with the company for ten years and have extensive experience, across multiple verticals, with clients incorporating touch, sensors, computer vision, voice, and more to tell a story, sell an item, promote an opportunity.
I’ve spoken extensively on the topic of audience engagement, participating in roundtables, headlining talks, and hosting webinars both virtually and around the globe at industry events. I am also an active writer on topics ranging from best practices for in-venue interactive digital content to information security, usage analytics, and the evolution of interactivity in response to the pandemic.
At the end of the day, my company’s software is a means to an end. Even the best tools need to be wielded by those with the passion, skill, and knowledge to meet or exceed expectations. I am excited to be part of a community that will educate me about how the field of experiential graphic design is evolving and how this can be brought to bear on a digital domain I care passionately about.
