Gary Mack is a leader in creating visually immersive experiences for major sporting events around the world. His strategic approach to design and implementation elevates brand stories and enhances consumer touchpoints for a diverse global fan base. Gary’s 20+ year career in experience design, brand development, print and interior design has shaped his unconventional creative point-of-view and commitment to innovation.
Gary Mack is the Director of Visual Strategy and Presentation for the National Basketball Association (NBA), a global leader in sports and entertainment. His focus is in developing creative strategies that maximize brand experiences and market visibility for the League’s sports, entertainment and consumer brands. He leads the design and implementation of large-scale interior projects for major events including NBA Finals, NBA Draft, NBA All-Star Weekend and NBA Global Games. His branded environments have been installed in several U.S. cities, Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. In addition, Gary has developed engaging spatial interiors for the NBA’s global corporate offices and retail stores in Shanghai, China and New York City.
Prior to the NBA, Gary led product development and design for Fleer Trading Cards, where he created award-winning products for Marvel, National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB) and the NBA.
A Bronx, NY native, Gary is committed to mentoring the next generation of designers and to advancing diversity and inclusion in the design industry. Gary earned his BFA in Interior Design from Rochester Institute of Technology.
