SEGD Past President

Anna Crider Anna Crider was the SEGD President in 2020-2021 and has been a member of the SEGD Board since 2016.	Bryan Meszaros Bryan Meszaros was SEGD President in 2018-2019 and has been a member of the SEGD Board 2013-2022; he is CEO and Founder of OpenEye Global. At a time when the use of interactive visual media was an offbeat practice, Bryan saw the potential to blend his passion toward design and fascination with technology into a new modernist approach.	John Lutz John Lutz was SEGD President in 2016-2017 and served on the SEGD Board in 2010-2019. He is a Partner at Selbert Perkins Design in Chicago. John brings to SPD the ability to turn verbal concepts into powerful graphic identities and dynamic communications programs. John Lutz has been an integral part of the SPD team for nearly two decades.	Jill Ayers Jill Ayers was the 2014-2015 SEGD President Jill Ayers is Creative Director at Airspace, a graphic design firm specializing in environmental graphic design, exhibit, print and web design located in New York City. Current clients include Dow Jones, New York University and L’Oreal USA.
Amy Lukas SEGD President 2012-2013 Amy Lukas was president of SEGD in 2012-2013 and she is the co-founder of Infinite Scale Design Group. Infinite Scale is a strategic design studio that creates brand experiences in environments and events. Amy’s role as Project Director provides the foundation for each client project as she is the organizational leader and strategic thinker for Infinite Scale's clients.	Wayne McCutcheon SEGD President 2010-2011 Wayne is a Past President of SEGD and a member of the 2016 SEGD Board of Directors. Wayne, a principal and founding partner of Entro, has been instrumental in the successful planning, design and implementation of many large-scale wayfinding and corporate identity programs over the past 20 years.	Steven Stamper SEGD President 2008-2009 Steven L. Stamper, SEGD was one of the founders of fd2s in 1985 and currently leads the team as it addresses critical strategic and technical issues related to wayfinding, orientation, and placemaking in the environment.	Jonathan Alger SEGD President 2006-2007 Jonathan Alger is a founding partner of C&G Partners, active in all forms of communication design, especially exhibitions, interactive environments and public spaces. He is a dedicated advocate of strategic thinking and the thoughtful use of technology. He served two years as national President (2006-2007) of SEGD, the Society for Environmental Graphic Design.
Peter Dixon President of SEGD 2005 As senior partner and creative director of Prophet, Peter brings our clients a unique blend of perspectives as an architect and brand specialist. It translates into an imaginative take on identity, branding, and design, expressed in both high-level thinking and visual representations. Peter is a 2013 SEGD Board member.	Robert Goes 1994 Distinguished Member Award honoree and SEGD President 2004 Robert Goes is an accomplished Art Director and Project Manager. Robert Goes has been the Design Director of Design Goes, Inc for over 20 years specializing in concepts for marketing collateral, location branding and packaging.	Douglas Morris SEGD President 2002-2003 As Co-founder, Design Director, and Principal of Poulin + Morris Inc., Douglas Morris has directed visual communications programs for clients including ABC News, Ann Taylor, Barnard College, The City University of New York, CNN, College of William & Mary, Columbia University and many more.	Patrick Gallagher 2012 SEGD Fellow and SEGD President 2000-2001 Patrick Gallagher, president and founder of the Washington, D.C.-based museum planning and exhibition design firm Gallagher & Associates, was named the 2012 SEGD Fellow, environmental graphic design’s highest professional honor.
Wayne Hunt 2004 SEGD Fellow, 2010 Distinguished Member Award honoree, 1995 Angel Award honoree, and SEGD President 1999-2000 Wayne Hunt founded Hunt Design in 1977 and is a nationally recognized leader in Environmental Graphics and Wayfinding Signage design.	Hannah Jennings SEGD President 1998-1999 Hannah is a designer and illustrator with many years of experience, primarily with non-profit organizations including over 20 years as Manager of Design at Brookfield Zoo.	Gretchen Coss SEGD President 1997-1998 Gretchen is Director of Business Development for Gallagher & Associates. She previously served as Principal of Douglas\|Gallagher Chicago. Her experience also includes positions with Gensler/LA as Director of Graphics and Owner/Principal of Coss Creative for 11 years. Paula Rees SEGD President 1993-1994 Paula Rees is the principal of Foreseer.	Virginia Gehshan 2010 SEGD Fellow, 1995 Angel Award honoree, and SEGD President 1992-1993 Virginia Gehshan and Jerome Cloud were the recipients of the SEGD Fellow Award in 2010. They have built their practice on intellectual rigor, systemic thinking, and a user-centered approach to information architecture.	David Gibson 2009 SEGD Fellow, 1996 Angel Award honoree, and SEGD President 1991-1992 David Gibson is Co-Founder and Principal of Two Twelve. In 2019, David Gibson celebrates his fiftieth year as a designer.	Jack Biesek SEGD President 1990-1991 Jack passed away in 2013. Sue Gould 2013 SEGD Fellow and President 1989-1990 Sue Gould is a designer, builder, historian, calligrapher, master connector, role model, mentor, and self-admitted “New York cheerleader.”	Thomas Casey SEGD President 1988-1989 Thomas W. Casey is founder and principal of The Casey Group of New Canaan, CT and Coconut Creek, FL, since 1994. Previously he was a founding partner of Greenboam & Casey Associates, Inc., a full-service design agency in New York City and Greenwich, CT that specialized in environmental graphics, corporate identity, and advertising from 1979 to 1994.	John Muhlhausen 1995 Angel Award honoree and SEGD President 1987-1988 Muhlhausen is President of Muhlhausen Design and Associates, a Roswell, Ga.-based design consultancy he founded in 1975. MD&A provides wayfinding analysis and planning services for health care and transportation facilities.	Jim Glass SEGD Founder, Past President from 1986-1987 and a 1987 SEGD Fellow James Lafferty Glass, a founder of SEGD and the Kelvin Group creative community in Houston, died April 15, 2010 of heart and diabetes complications. Glass was one of the three designers who met on July 3, 1973, to compare notes on the growing importance of “architectural signage,” and ultimately created a new field of design.
Rich Burns 1987 SEGD Fellow and Past President 1979-1986	Jeff Corbin Jeff Corbin Founding member and SEGD Past President 1978-79 Jeff Corbin founded Corbin Design in 1976, and turned the firm into a national leader in the fields of wayfinding and environmental graphic design.	John Berry 1990 SEGD Fellow and SEGD President 1975-1977 John Berry and Rich Burns were the original founders of SEGD along with original member Jim Glass. John has over forty four years of professional design experiences.
