SEGD President 2012-2013

Amy Lukas was president of SEGD in 2012-2013 and she is the co-founder of Infinite Scale Design Group. Infinite Scale is a strategic design studio that creates brand experiences in environments and events. Amy’s role as Project Director provides the foundation for each client project as she is the organizational leader and strategic thinker for Infinite Scale's clients.

John Lutz is a Partner in Selbert Perkins Design, Chicago
John Lutz

John Lutz was SEGD President in 2016-2017 and served on the SEGD Board in 2010-2019. He is a Partner at Selbert Perkins Design in Chicago.

John brings to SPD the ability to turn verbal concepts into powerful graphic identities and dynamic communications programs. John Lutz has been an integral part of the SPD team for nearly two decades.

Environmental Graphics can best be described as "Visual Communication in the Built and Natural Environment". It includes planning, designing, and specifying sign systems for guiding people through complex spaces such as cities, buildings, and parks.

Steve Bayer

Steve Bayer is a member of the 2021 SEGD Board; he previously served on the SEGD Board in 2011-2016.

Steve is the Special Projects Director, Northern Region for Daktronics. He collaborates with architects and designers from across the United States to fulfill this role.

Bryan Meszaros

Bryan Meszaros was SEGD President in 2018-2019 and has been a member of the SEGD Board 2013-2022; he is CEO and Founder of OpenEye Global.

At a time when the use of interactive visual media was an offbeat practice, Bryan saw the potential to blend his passion toward design and fascination with technology into a new modernist approach.

Gary Stemler, Vice President, archetype, Minneapolis
Gary Stemler

Gary Stemler was the 2014 Secretary/Treasurer of SEGD. Gary is a co-chair for the Minneapolis chapter.

Gary Stemler has been in the environmental graphics field for over 20 years helping designers and end users in the implementation of custom graphics all across the world. He has been an industry leader in mixing quality craftsmanship with modern manufacturing capabilities and delivering on end user expectations.

Steven L. Stamper, SEGD was one of the founders of fd2s in 1985 and currently leads the team as it addresses critical strategic and technical issues related to wayfinding, orientation, and placemaking in the environment.

Christina Lyons

Christina Lyons is a member of the 2021 SEGD Board and has served on the SEGD Board since 2016, representing education. She is Professor and Chairperson of Graduate Exhibition & Experience Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology/SUNY in New York.

Previously, Christina was the Director of the Graphics Department at Lee H. Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership, working on projects such as the Muzeiko: Children’s Museum in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Anna Crider was the SEGD President in 2020-2021 and has been a member of the SEGD Board since 2016.

Kathy Fry

Kathy Fry is the 2022 SEGD President and has served on the SEGD Board since 2016. She is a Principal at Mayer/Reed in Portland, Ore.

Kathy directs visual communications services in the design of signage, wayfinding, interpretive and branded spaces for civic, recreation, transportation, cultural, healthcare, education, mixed-use and corporate settings.

Patrick Angelel, Principal at CREO Industrial Arts
Patrick Angelel

Patrick Angelel was SEGD Secretary/Treasurer in 2015-2016 and served on the SEGD Board in 2012-2019. He is owner of CREO Industrial Arts in Seattle.

A custom fabrication company, CREO Industrial Arts produces environmental graphics, signage and other specialty items such as custom lighting and street furniture.

Wayne McCutcheon, Entro
Wayne McCutcheon

SEGD President 2010-2011

Wayne is a Past President of SEGD and a member of the 2016 SEGD Board of Directors.

Wayne, a principal and founding partner of Entro, has been instrumental in the successful planning, design and implementation of many large-scale wayfinding and corporate identity programs over the past 20 years.
