Emily Gold is a student at Drexel University, studying Graphic Design with minors in Fine Arts and Marketing. She is specifically interested in typography, brand identity and publication design. Her ultimate career goal is to be a graphic designer for a non-profit organization.
As an RA on Drexel's campus, Emily Gold is responsible for planning and facilitating events that will engage residents, having one-on-one meetings with residents throughout the year, maintaining a welcoming and inclusive community on her floor and in the residence hall, and being an active part of the Drexel community in general. She will also assist with prospective RA information sessions.
As a part of the creative team at the Philadelphia Water Department, Emily Gold completed and worked with other team members and departments on a wide variety of projects. These range from their annual Drinking Water Quality Report to educational postcards for tabling events, buttons promoting tap water, social media posts, flyers, event signage, sub-brand identity development, and wayfinding graphics/signs for Coast Day 2018. She got to experience all parts of the creative process: kickoff meetings, creative briefs, concept development, design, prepping files for production, and seeing projects through to completion.
