Eduard Matamoros is a cross-disciplinary design leader with nearly 20 years of experience across the fields of art, design, games, and education. With a focus on design strategy and user experience, Eduard has consulted with clients large and small, including UPS, Staples, the U.S. Air Force, BMW, SXSW, Columbia University, as well as start-ups and dotcoms across a range of verticals.
In addition to his commercial practice, Eduard Matamoros is also an accomplished educator. His pedagogy reflects a project-based learning approach to digital media, with an emphasis on computational literacy and workplace readiness. As a doctoral student at Columbia University working under two National Science Foundation grants, he published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles on educational game development as well as mindset development in students.
Eduard Matamoros has held faculty positions in visual design programs at Seattle Central College in Seattle, WA and Austin Community College in Austin, TX. Eduard earned his MFA from Parsons School of Design. His personal interests include health, wellness, and behavior change.
Eduard Matamoros specializes in user experience design, digital commerce, game design, and higher education. He has experience in Digital strategy, mobile applications, responsive web, information architecture, visual design, and adult education. His deliverables include design specifications, heuristic analysis, user scenarios, user data analysis, low and high fidelity prototypes, process flows, storyboards, mockups, and wireframes.
