Dinah Fried is a designer, educator, and partner at Small Stuff. She holds a BA in English from Tufts University, and an MFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. Fried is an adjunct at Parsons and has also taught and lectured at RISD, School of Visual Arts and the Pratt Institute.
Fried’s career began as a project manager in Pentagram’s New York office. She went on to join HarperCollins where she worked as a design editor and art director for the visual books imprint, Fried has also worked as a design fellow at Chronicle Books in California prior to co-founding Small Stuff, and published the award winning visual book, “Fictitious Dishes” (Harper Collins, 2014)
Fried’s work has been recognized by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Type Directors Club, and 50 Books / 50 Covers and published in The Guardian, the Huffington Post, NPR, and The New Yorker, among others. She was profiled in Graphic Design USA as a “Person to Watch.”
