D'awn Howland is a Graphic Analyst at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
D'awn Howland's role as Graphic Analyst is both technical and creative in order to support the needs of the DFW airport to plan and implement future development projects and way-finding signage efforts. It involves editing and exporting CAD drawings of airport land and future development sites to 2D and 3D images. D'awn Howland also utilizes Photoshop heavily to create convincing photo mockups of marketing displays and directional signs to help visualize and plan for rebranding efforts inside and outside the terminals. Additional tasks include photography, illustration, as well as modifying symbols, icons and emblems for internal airport use.
Before working with Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, D'awn Howland was an independent Graphic Artist. In this role, she partnered with the client, author or entrepreneur to design custom imagery, collateral and promotional materials directed to catching the eye of their target market. Many of the tasks required to complete this work included creating unique book cover designs, page layouts for multi-page documents, and catalog development.
D'awn graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Art Institute of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design and has an additional two years of credits in Fine Arts and Business Administration from Fort Lewis College where her artwork was commissioned and published in school publication.
