David Cajolet is a Senior Designer at fd2s in Austin, Texas.
David's more than 20 years experience in the field of experiential graphic design enables him to contribute valuable leadership to the fd2s team as he directs projects in the retail, cultural and technology sectors.
Before joining fd2s David Cajolet founded and ran Cajolet Design in 2008. Cajolet Design is an interdisciplinary design studio specializing in the development of communication strategies and graphics for the built environment. This work encompasses the interrelated disciplines of wayfinding, brand implementation, placemaking, themed environmental graphics, and donor recognition. Cajolet Design is known for successful collaborations and an emphasis on design thinking and visualization with partners in architecture, landscape, industrial design, and fabrication.
David Cajolet also worked at Arrowstreet where he excelled as lead designer and project manager within graphics group at renowned international architecture firm. Directed a wide range of graphics projects including exterior / interior wayfinding signage, comprehensive donor recognition programs, and creative themed environments. Architectural project types included; commercial, retail, mixed-use, entertainment, stadium, institutional, leisure, hospitality, municipal, and food services. Generated 3D visualization for architectural presentations, competitions, and documentation. Mentored junior designers while orchestrating projects from conceptual design through documentation and implementation. Confidently interacted on all levels with clients, colleagues, city officials, general contractors, and fabricators.
He started his career in Environmental Graphic Design with Roll Barresi & Associates.
David Cajolet graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and Landscape Design and the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) with a degree in Graphic Design.
