Rooted in craft, informed by design and the discipline of communication, Dardinelle is a storyteller at heart with 25 years working in multiple domains as a designer and artist. Her previous experience has encompassed wayfinding systems, signage, branding and identity, retail, apparel, and exhibit design. This diverse background allows her to employ a wide variety of approaches to a given design problem. During the past fifteen years as Ditroën’s founder and creative director, Dardinelle has developed branding, wayfinding, and thematic programs for a multitude of corporate, healthcare, retail and hospitality environments including a series of site-specific public art installations for a regional light rail transit line. For Dardinelle, communication happens over a range of emotive levels and engages all of the five senses. From this holistic perspective, Dardinelle sees all aspects of the built environment as potential vehicles for communication. Connecting audiences to spaces in unexpected and relevant ways with interactions and narratives that leave long-lasting impressions.
