Hello, I am an environmental graphic designer with 12 years experience in wayfinding and signage design. During this time I have contributed to and implemented wayfinding projects, sign programs and display graphics in a variety of Retail, Residential, Civic, Cultural, Hospitality and Corporate environments.
I am knowledgeable of industry technologies and trends, as well as nuances specific to EGD projects which include accessibility and code requirements (ADA/SAD), municipal sign bylaws, development and permit processes.
My project experience includes: wayfinding design and programming, signage standards, retail tenant guidelines, architectural signage, presentation centre design, graphic and industrial design, production, project coordination, tender documents, contract administration.
I recognize design as a strategic enterprise and in this regard I bring a high degree of management and business acumen to my practice. I have direct experience building relationships with clients, developing business opportunities and delivering quality results.
I received my education from the Alberta College of Art and Design where I obtained a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts. I also hold a diploma in Multimedia Design and a professional certificate in Urban Design from Simon Fraser University.
I am very passionate about the relationship of wayfinding within the urban context and the role of media and information design in contributing to enhanced public spaces.
