Daktronics Creates Displays for Razorbacks

Daktronics Display for Univ of Arkansas Razorbacks

Daktronics(Brookings, S.D.) is building 11 new LED displays for four venues at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, including the largest display in college baseball.

Installation began in September 2015 at Bud Walton Arena for basketball and the project will be completed in early 2016 with displays installed at Baum Stadium for baseball, Bogle Park for softball and the Randal Tyson Center for indoor track.

Bud Walton Arena will boast a new four-sided center-hung video display system and four stanchion displays on each basket support for a total of eight displays. The two largest displays in the centerhung will each measure approximately 16.5 feet high by 29 feet wide and the other two displays in the centerhung will each measure approximately 16.5 feet high by 23 feet wide. All of these displays will feature 6 millimeter line spacing for crisp, clear imagery with wide-angle visibility to appeal to every seat in the arena. These displays can show live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics and game information, graphics and animations and sponsorship messages.

Four stanchion displays featuring 6 millimeter line spacing will be installed on the sides of the basket supports, two displays on each support. These displays will provide the opportunity and flexibility to highlight multiple sponsors throughout events.

Baum Stadium will receive the largest display in college baseball, featuring a 13HD pixel layout and measuring approximately 25 ft. high by 71 ft. wide. Bogle Park's display will also feature a 13HD pixel layout and will measure about 14.5 ft. high by 43 ft. wide. Randal Tyson Centerfor track will include a display featuring 10 millimeter line spacing and measuring approximately 12.5 ft. high by 22 ft. wide.
