Calori & Vanden-Eynden (New York) designed signage and graphics for Planned Parenthood's new state-of-the-art reproductive health and education center in Queens, N.Y.
Working with Stephen Yablon Architects, C&VE designed a complete signage system for the 14,000-sq.-ft. facility, including a welcome wall, murals, and donor recognition system. C&VE used a bright color palette, simple typography, and laser-etched acrylic disks to create impact in the space. Murals are a composition of disks of various sizes and thicknesses, and display words pulled from Planned Parenthood’s mission statement translated into 11 languages. More than 140 languages are spoken in Queens.
The donor recognition program applies the visual language of the signage and murals to numerous disks throughout the facility. Archetypewas the project fabricator for all signage.
