Like so many people, I started drawing at a young age and for purely recreational purposes. I think if there is a style to my sketches, it dates back to those early years and my affinity for Marvel Comics.
Curtis Roberts is Design Principal and co-owner at fd2s.
Curtis Roberts thinks better branding and wayfinding (when and where appropriate) = a better, more engaging experience.
Curtis was born in Memphis, TN, but grew up in the thriving Coastal Bend metropolis of Beeville, TX (pop. 14, 586). Upon graduating with a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Architecture, he began working with fd2s as a design intern. He now serves as the firm’s design principal and is co-owner.
Curtis Roberts has had the privilege of working on a wide range of projects around the world and has collaborated with amazing colleagues and clients.
Upon completing any project at fd2s, he generally asks himself the following questions: (1) is the client pleased with the results of our work, would they work with us again, would they recommend us to their colleagues?; (2) is our work appropriate, considered, and inspired?, and (3) are we still having fun with what we’re doing? The extent to which we can answer Yes to all of these questions serves as a measure for our ongoing self-assessment and, by extension, success.
