Gaudi in Barcelona

Honor Award

This project celebrates the 150th birthday of Antoni Gaudi's birthday by creating a sign system for Spain's capital of Barcelona. The image of Spain is one of vibrant passion, expressed through the architecture and seen through Gaudi's work.

Jury Comments:

"The graphic translation of the icons from the architecture has been well-executed. The continuity of each, forming a family of images, results in an overall branding for the wayfinding." "This site branding visual system draws effectively on Gaudi's formal vocabulary, even as it abstracts it appropriately for directional signage."
