Connectpoint drives the digitalization of cities through an integrated system of information about the status of transportation systems. The Falcon Text-To-Speech device provides plug and play real-time multi language voice announcements for next bus arrivals in an ADA compliant housing. The Patent Pending design incorporates an integrated solar film skin, CAT-M1 IoT connectivity, and back-up battery power. Deployment is as easy as bolting the integrated locking mount to any bus-stop pole. The Falcon offers a variety of dynamic messaging options, including real-time or scheduled next departure information and alerts. Additionally, introductory messages, such as PSAs, can be delivered. The system’s power, volume and content are remotely monitored and managed by the Connectpoint Asset Management System (CPAM™) from the convenience of a desktop or mobile device.
“We are incredibly thankful for this recognition from IoT Breakthrough, commented Rick Wood, CEO and President of Connectpoint. “When we commenced development on The Falcon, our goal was to provide the transit industry with a cost-effective standalone real-time information device that is solar powered and provides accessibility to all customers. It is an affordable option for tier 2 and 3 stops as well as a system’s heavier stops.”
Connectpoint also delivers innovative smart city solutions such as the Connectpoint Digital Bus Stop®, an advanced solar-powered (or A/C) wireless ePaper digital sign that provides real-time public transportation information 24/7. The ePaper displays are available in multiple sizes and can be quickly installed on poles, at shelters, or in a stand-alone fabricated pylon. Connectpoint’s products are used at rail stations, transit hubs and bus stops.
Connectpoint serves 26 transit agencies in the U.S. and has thousands of ePaper digital displays in the field, giving millions of riders information each year.
