Christie Microtiles (Cypress, Calif.) provided the 16-ft.-wide by 6-ft-tall array of MicroTile displays in the lobby of the Church History Museum in downtown Salt Lake City. The array shows two displays simultaneously. On the right side, videos play continuously, while, on the left side, features of current and upcoming exhibits are shown.
“The MicroTiles are a window into the galleries,” says Kurt Graham, museum director. “We have thematic vignettes that show content to draw visitors in. The display is almost seamless (a 1mm seam between each tile), provides a versatile, high-resolution digital canvas, and emits very little heat, says Christie.
