Chris Haar is an Environmental Graphic Designer with a focus on sign and display manufacturing. His expertise lies in generating original concepts, as well as collaborating with other designers to integrate manufacturing capabilities into designs. Haar specializes in Wayfinding design and execution, Branding, Visual Identities, ADA sign code, and Project Management.

Chris Haar graduated from Iowa State University in 2003 with a B.F.A in Visual Studies. Soon after graduation he was hired by Nordquist as a Title Designer. As a Title Designer he created conceptual designs through finalized production drawings for top level sign and architectural products manufacturing firm, and interpreted client’s design intent to realize finished product while adhering to budget and time constraints. Haar would stay with Nordquist for 7 years with positions as a Interim Director of Design and Senior Designer. Chris Haar now works as a Senior Project Manager for Archetype and as a Sign Production Manager for Sharp Creative. As Senior Project Manager at Archetype Haar is responsible for being the Lead Project Designer on all national and international signage projects larger than $250,000, which includes projects in markets such as; retail, entertainment, hospitality, commercial office, and healthcare. He directs design staff by developing processes for detailed and technically accurate conceptual designs and fabrication drawings. Chris Haar has developed efficient standards of work in design, manufacturing, and estimating, and manages all vendors for exterior installation, lighting, specialty metal finishing, out-of-house fabrication, and out-of-house CNC vendors.
