Chris Burda is a museum professional with over 25 years of experience in developing, designing and implementing engaging STEM exhibitions and dynamic public places in the United States and abroad. She is also an artist and informal science educator versed in tailoring interdisciplinary, problem-based experiences to communicate complex subjects to diverse audiences in ways they find fun, real and relevant.
Chris Burda is a designer practiced in concept visualization and illustration to facilitate cross-functional team communications, support funding proposals, illuminate prospectuses, prompt focus groups and enhance exhibit and program experiences. She is a leader skilled in building community relationships and mutually beneficial partnerships by involving stakeholders of all ages in the creative process.
Chris Burda has organized workshops and charrettes specializing in strategic planning with key stakeholders, community leaders and decision-makers at the table. She is a STEaM place maker who recognizes the role of art in communicating and experiencing science and a champion of the team process, community-of-learners model, evidence-based decision-making, systems thinking, sustainability, universal design and the beauty in an experiment.
