ChengWei Chiang is a designer based in Taiwan and US. He has been an interior designer at Fogarty Finger Architecture based in New York and incorporated his Zen style into the company’s multi-family projects. Recently, he is responsible for designing the interior amenity spaces of a ground-up multi-family building in New Jersey and New York. In order to create a space for users to relax after a long day of tedious work, he proposed a Zen-style yoga/meditation room with a calming and relaxing atmosphere, aiming to intrigue a state of peaceful mind.
As a former designer at Vanessa Deleon Associates based in New York, ChengWei Chiang applies his graphic design and worked with Coastal Shower Doors to create a shower screen door “V-Zag”, featured at KBIS(Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) in 2018. He also helped Vanessa create a furniture collection and was later on nominated by Interior Design Best of Year in 2018.
As a former hospitality designer at PL Interior Design based in Taipei, Taiwan, he applies his knowledge of Feng shui and Zen-style into the company’s projects such as Hualien WOW Hostel, Beimen WOW Poshtel, and WOW Bubble. His projects has been featured in numerous international and national media such as Designboom Magazine, CommonWealth Magazine, Lavie, Vogue, Elle, and so on.
He was a former backpacker and once traveled to the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. His Zen-style of design was inspired by his travel experience during his trip to Jerusalem, where he found his meaning of life and realized there shouldn’t be conflicts between human beings because there’s no difference between each one of us.
