SEGD DCA invites you to Mix & Mingle: E Ink

Jonathan Margalit and Al Tassone with E Ink will present their revolutionary products while we toast our local SEGD community. Please join us for a fun-filled evening!

E Ink is the originator, pioneer and commercial leader in ePaper technology. The company delivers its advanced display products to the world's most influential brands and manufacturers, enabling them to install extremely durable, low power displays in previously impossible or unimaginable applications and environments.

Signage
Electronic paper (ePaper) museum and gallery displays combine the aesthetic looks of paper labels with the advantages of digital displays. The aesthetic, non-light polluting ePaper displays provide a unique, interactive, fun, and educational experience, while complementing the museum’s infrastructure. Cost savings are made possible thanks to the elimination of printing and label-replacement costs.

Architecture
E Ink Prism™ is a new and innovative architectural material that creates unique experiences like never before. It’s not just a new design medium for the EGD community, it brings a new dimensions with its ability to change colors, patterns, and user-defined programs. Rugged and flexible, it can be cut, shaped, and integrated with a wide variety of substrates. Additionally, its low power consumption reduces or eliminates the need for electrical outlets enabling alternative options such as batteries and/or photovoltaic cells.

Jonathan has worked in various business development, product management, and technical marketing positions across a range of industries, including specialty chemicals for the electronic and optical industries, analytical equipment, and the lighting industry. Jonathan has been involved directly with the development and commercialization of innovative and disruptive technologies, including LED technology.  Jonathan has a PhD degree in Materials Science from the Technical University of Aachen, Germany.
