dca event

The DCA Chapter learned so much--and had fun doing it--at our most recent event. Held at Gensler DC's office, we learned about tips for improving our professional presence. Selling ideas is critical in our field, and Christine Clapp of Spoken with Authority helped us develop confidence and composure in delivering our messages. We learned tools, and then practiced them with partners throughout the evening. By the end of the night, most participants noticed a marked improvement. Several attendees claimed it was the best professional event they had ever attended!

Join us at our next event at the Wharf in October, information to come shortly!

Whether you're in a meeting, on the phone, around the proverbial "water cooler," at a client pitch, or anywhere else: your ability to speak with confidence will drive your career forward - just as a lack of executive presence will frustratingly hold you back. In Develop Your Professional Presence, Spoken with Authority we will offer you a set of powerful insights and practical strategies as part of an interactive and multi-sensory learning experience. Get ready to develop your poise and polish in a way that will advance your career - and may even change your life!

Who knew code signage could be so fun? We had a blast sampling wine and cheese and learning the ins and outs of code signage, thanks to NovaPolymers. Thank you to our gracious hosts PerkinsEastman--we loved seeing their beautiful space!
