Join us for a hands-on evening of discovery and play. Urban planner James Rojas will lead us in a model-building workshop to explore and define how San Diego communities are identified by their landmarks, public art, and environmental graphics. All materials are provided, but you are encouraged to bring any building blocks, toys, action figures, whirligigs, or gizmos to aid in the building process.

Register online by 4/23, as space is very limited.
There will be NO REGISTRATIONS AT THE DOOR.

Cost: $10 General / $5 SEGD Members / Students FREE

Come join us for a guided tour through San Diego's newest landmark, the Central Library. Designed by local architects Rob Wellington Quigley, FAIA and Tucker Sadler Architects, the new library is nearly 500,000 sq.ft. of library, meeting rooms, educational space, and public art gallery. We will be led by one of the library staff throughout the building. Afterwards, we will meet at The Corner restaurant across the street for happy hour and discussion.

Plan to arrive early to allow time for parking. We will meet in the main lobby. Tour starts promptly at 4pm.

Our first event of the year is an opportunity to reflect on 2013 and discuss what we hope to accomplish in 2014. There will be an opportunity to meet and talk with colleagues over refreshments, followed by presentations by local professionals sharing their experiences from the last year.
