Studio Tour of Phoenix Handcraft

Join SEGD Richmond for a Studio Tour of Phoenix Handcraft Industry Series: Meet Your Makers 2
Looking for new artisan fabricators? Join SEGD Richmond and Phoenix Handcraft for the second installment of the Meet Your Makers Series. Kyle and Johannah will show us the importance of continuing to use handtools to create modern designs.

Phoenix Handcraft Studio Tour
Kyle and Johannah bring the ancient arts of blacksmithing and mosaics to a contemporary audience. Our work shows the relevance of handskills in the 21st century. Using handtools and early industrial equipment, we create modern designs with the timeless feel of handmade work.

We use reclaimed, local, durable, and non-toxic materials to create environmentally sustainable work. We place a strong emphasis on community outreach and collaboration, working with local artist friends and community arts groups including RVA Makers, Art 180, RVA MakerFest, and Richmond Craft Mafia. http://phoenixhandcraft.com/
