Advanced study in any area of architectural investigation which will effectively contribute to the knowledge, teaching or practice of the art and science of architecture. The proposed investigation is to result in a publicly available written work, design project, research paper, or other form of presentation to be offered at the Center for Architecture. Single award of up to $15,000. New York members were treated to a guided tour at Madame Tussauds Wax Musuem in Times Square on August 25, 2015. The tour was led by Bryan Meszaros from OpenEye Global and Eric Fluet from Madame Tussauds, who discussed the new digital experiences recently implemented by OpenEye Global. Following the tour guests were able to explore the museum on their own and also gather at a networking reception overlooking the 42nd Street theater district.

About Chris Calori and David Vanden-Eynden
Chris Calori and David Vanden-Eynden are principals of Calori & Vanden-Eynden/Design Consultants, an award-winning, internationally recognized design office devoted to making people's lives better with thoughtful, visually-compelling signage and wayfinding programs. Both Chris and David are Fellows of the SEGD and are members of the AIGA. Chris is a Professional Affiliate of the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter; David is a former board member of the SEGD and the AIGA New York Chapter.

Committed design thinkers and educators, Chris and David have taught and lectured on design at professional conferences and at notable universities, including Yale, the University of Cincinnati, The Ohio State University, California State University at Long Beach, and New York City's Fashion Institute of Technology.

The New York Chapter held its first 20x20 presentations (20 slides, 20 seconds to talk about each slide) on July 16, 2015 at Designtex's office. Six New York members: David Siegel, Nastya Lobova, Madeleine Avino, Mies Hora, Kevin Braine and Ben Whitehouse all delivered fast paced presentations on the topic, "What I Like and Why I Like It: XGD Projects."

We would like to thank David Siegel, Taylor Field and members of Designtex's staff for hosting and help organize the event and a special thanks to all the members who participated in the presentations.
