We'll also be having a going away party for our 6-year tenure SEGD MSP Chapter Chair, Adam Halverson

AND

A BIG welcome to a NEW SEGD MSP Chapter Chair!

There will be catered hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, networking, arts of all kinds and a scavenger hunt like you’ve never experienced before! This private event will be held in the Villa Rosa Room.

SEGD MSP encourages each invitee to bring 1 guest with you! Co-worker, spouse, friend or someone you think that could benefit from becoming a member of SEGD MSP.

Let's make this a 2017 kick-off and a Chapter Chair send-off to remember!

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts houses nearly 100,000 works, celebrating more than 6,000 years of artistic achievement. Guests can enjoy Rembrandts, van Goghs, and masterpieces from nearly every world culture and period of history. The museum is ranked among the top ten comprehensive U.S. art museums in the country. The MIA occupies a landmark building with views of the skyline and city parks, a mix of modern and traditional spaces, and proximity to one of the country’s most magnificent art collections.

This event is proudly sponsored by 3M and Gemini, Inc.

FAQs

What are my parking options for getting to and from the event?

The entrance to the MIA and museum parking ramp are located on 3rd Avenue between 24th and 25th streets. The parking ramp is just South of the museum. Additional parking is located at the Northeast corner of 24th Street and 3rd Avenue intersection, and across from the 3rd Avenue ramp. For all lots, a 24-hour campus escort is available by calling security at 612-870-3003. A modest fee for parking enables MIA to maintain these important amenities for their patrons.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Event Coordinator Melissa Dodge via email at: [email protected]

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

We would prefer that you and your guest bring your printed ticket to this private event to ensure your spot. We will have a guest list, but a printed ticket is the key!

3M Innovation Tour featuring the World of 3M Innovation Technology

Mini Tradeshow

Catered Chef Luncheon

Prize Giveaways

This event takes place in Maplewood at the 3M Innovation center. 3M is one of SEGD MSPs biggest sponsors to date for our chapter and we are in for a real treat with this upcoming tour. The centerpiece of the 3M Innovation Center is the World of 3M Innovation. The World of 3M Innovation is comprised of interactive displays, films, presentations and stories that provide us with the opportunity to connect our customers to the depth and breadth of everything that 3M has to offer (e.g., business processes, technologies, products and global connectivity).

Not only will there be a tour of the Innovation Center itself, but there is also a mini-tradeshow with 6 different local companies participating and displaying their latest products (including 3M)! This is a very unique opportunity for SEGD MSP Members and those who are interested in becoming a part of the SEGD MSP Chapter.

BE SURE to RSVP with your YES to this catered event  as not only will the Innovation Center blow your mind, but there will be more prize giveaways, wonderful networking opportunities and your chance to see, hear, feel and interact with the technology that has changed the way we live today.  Sponsored by 3M

Enjoy great food and beverages while networking and seeing some great technology geared towards Digital XGD
July 27, 4-7pm at Spye: 2740 31st Ave South Minneapolis

Register here for free!

Spye will be showcasing the latest in digital solutions with hands on tours of dynamic demos and facilitated discussions on design and technology topics tailored to experiential graphic design.

Featured technology will include the new LookThru Display – The transparent OLED is a breakthrough transparent display technology that displays dynamic or interactive information on a transparent surface glass. This revolutionary display allows users to view what is shown on a glass video screen while still being able to see through it. Designers can overlay text, digital images, and video content onto physical objects or scenes that sit behind the glass.

Also, the Ultra Fine-Pitch LED Display demo delivers a crisp, high contrast image using the highest quality black LEDs, black solder mask and MicroGrid Shader™, enabling the deepest level of black. Wide viewing angles deliver excellent off-axis uniformity while advanced calibration provides maximum full color and brightness uniformity across even the largest video walls with no visible seams.

Other demos will include the Mosaic video wall, the 2x2 4K video wall, projections and custom dynamic content.

Ask all your questions about the latest technologies and content. Project demos, case studies, and the Spye team will be on hand to show you how the future of experiential graphics is getting brighter!

Come to the event prepared to network with enough business cards to pass around and to include in a drawing for a new Planar 4K desk monitor!

Plenty of appetizers and drinks will be provided by our sponsor 3M!

Thanks to everyone that came to Betty Danger's County Club on Crack for the 2016 SEGD Kick-0ff event!

We will be compiling all ideas and suggestions that were gathered, and try to incorporate as many of them as we can!

It was excellent to see so many familiar faces & new faces alike!

Special thanks to Brent Schoonover for sharing his project insight on creating the one-of-a-kind Betty Danger's logo.

We hope you bundled up and got to ride the ferris wheel, take some fun pics & make some new memories!

Thanks again for a successful event!
