Surface Imaging is a new emerging discipline that allows designers to develop imagery for various physical forms using the latest digital printing technologies. Surface Imaging explores direct imaging on diverse porous and non-porous substrates as well as fabrication printing—including material deposition and subtraction printing technologies.
Guest speakers includes Andrew Graham (Chief Innovation Officer of DesignTex), James Gill (Account Director of FujiFilm Dimatix), and Ian Goldberg and Stephen Bashore (co-chairs of SEGD Philadelphia Chapter, hey that's us!)

Sessions include creating time-based media from image, video, type, and data-sourced content. Learn how to develop and integrate content though a range of interfaces, including screen, projection, mobile devices, and interactive sensors.

Join us for the last event of the year! Together we will explore Center City’s newest outdoor park, Dilworth Park.
We will meet at Dilworth Park’s Rosa Blanca Cafe located at the northwest corner of City Hall on Thursday, December 18th, at 6:00 pm. After a brief networking session, we will lace up and skate on the new Rothman Ice Rink.
Dilworth Park is just steps away from Suburban Station and in close proximity to the Septa subways and PATCO. Street parking is also available nearby. SEGD members skate for free, non-members skate for a $4 fee. If you require skates, they are available for an additional $8 skate rental fee.

Join us for a night of fun as SEGD Philly and AIGA Philly explore The Franklin Institute’s newest and biggest exhibition, “Your Brain”. Find out how and why your brain is always changing when you explore the exhibit. It's all about real life and what's happening inside your head everyday as your brain makes sense of the world around you. Climb the 18-foot-tall web of neural networks and zoom in to explore at the cellular level where neurons fire. Use your brain to explore your world, like a busy street filled with multi-sensory illusions that literally turn your world upside down. With over 70 interactive experiences, you'll begin to think about how you think and just maybe, it will change your mind.
Our guest speakers will include Jeanne Maier, Director of Exhibits & Design at The Franklin Institute and Lauren Dougherty and Stacey Humphreys Blankin, Associates at Strada. The Franklin Institute and Strada collaborated to create this multifaceted and interactive exhibit. We will meet in the lobby of The Franklin Institute located at 222 N 20th Street in Philadelphia on Thursday, July 31st at 6:30 pm. There is street parking available around The Franklin Institute. Join us for a night of fun as SEGD Philly explores Franklin's life and character at the newly renovated Benjamin Franklin Museum. The museum features artifacts, computer animations and interactive displays. Our guest speakers will include Pat Jones, Chief of Interpretation and Education for the Independence National Historical Park and Page Talbott, President and CEO of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania and former Principal of Remer & Talbott. Both collaborated together to curate the museum's renovation.
We will meet in the lobby of the Benjamin Franklin Museum located at 317 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia on Thursday, July 10th at 5:30 pm. Admission to the Museum is $5 at the door.
