About the Presenters 
Jonathan Alger is the Managing Partner and a co-founder of C&G Partners. He is active in all forms of communication design, especially exhibitions, interactive environments and public spaces. He is a dedicated advocate of strategic thinking and the thoughtful use of technology. 

As one of the founders of C&G Partners, Keith Helmetag offers creative and management direction to a talented team involved in sign and wayfinding as well as exhibit and environment commissions.

Amy Siegel is a partner and founding member of C&G Partners. She is active in various forms of communication design with a specialty in environmental graphics and mapping. Amy has planned, designed, and managed signage and wayfinding projects for institutional, corporate, and public clients.

On April 7th, members of the New York Chapter gathered together for a presentation by Colite, the New York Chapter's Sponsor, at the offices of CBX. Marty C. Brown, CEO of Colite, gave a presentation on the various projects that they have worked on in the U.S. and worldwide, and how they have maintained working relationships with some of their clients, designers, architects and other manufacturers over the past 50 years. After the presentation and a Q&A session, guests were able to view some of Colite's product samples with Marty and Colite team members, Tripp Tapp and John Bailey.

Advanced study in any area of architectural investigation which will effectively contribute to the knowledge, teaching or practice of the art and science of architecture. The proposed investigation is to result in a publicly available written work, design project, research paper, or other form of presentation to be offered at the Center for Architecture. Single award of up to $15,000. New York members were treated to a guided tour at Madame Tussauds Wax Musuem in Times Square on August 25, 2015. The tour was led by Bryan Meszaros from OpenEye Global and Eric Fluet from Madame Tussauds, who discussed the new digital experiences recently implemented by OpenEye Global. Following the tour guests were able to explore the museum on their own and also gather at a networking reception overlooking the 42nd Street theater district.

The New York Chapter held its first student networking event "The Bridge" on Thursday April 16th. The event was held at Arcadia Contemporary gallery in SoHo where local members had a chance to meet with the next generation of experiential designers as well as catch up with some old friends.

The Bridge is a new event series set up to build a stronger community between students and recent graduates with SEGD members in the New York area. SEGD NYC co-chairs worked with FIT students Maddy Avino and Sasha Klish, who helped organize, spread the word around campus, as well as coined the name for the event. Along with FIT, there were students from Parsons School of Design, Pratt and other local design schools who also attended the event. We would like to thank everyone who attended the event and give a special thanks to Steve Diamant of Arcadia Contemporary for hosting the event at the gallery.

SEGD NYC held it's latest Small Talks. Big Ideas. event at Smart Design on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Kamdyn Moore, Senior Program Manager, Sarah Pharas, Associate Director Interaction Design and Jess Vande Werken, Brand Communication Designer of Smart Design hosted the event.

The evening started with a tour of Smart's office followed by a presentation by Kamdyn, Sarah, and Jess.
