Chank Diesel created his independent type foundry in 1996 and has been creating fonts seen around the world ever since. His fonts have been called “an important example of contemporary design” by the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum.
Wired.com has called Chank Diesel “the grand master of typographic homebrew” in honor of his work as a small-business typographic pioneer on the worldwide web, and in 1997, Chank was featured in The Wall Street Journal.
His custom, original fonts have been used by companies and organizations, such as Ben Jerry’s, Salesforce, PBS Kids, Scholastic Books, Disney, Target, Doctor Who, MLB and many more. Chank Diesel also creates street art murals and other fine art paintings using the alphabet and words as his subject matter.
