Cecilia Moscardo is an MA student in Exhibition and Experience Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Originally from Malaga, Spain, she received her bachelor’s degree in History of Art and an MA in History of Contemporary Art and Architecture at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain.
After graduating she moved to New York City where she studied Constructed Environments at Parsons The New School and obtained an internship in the Exhibition Department in MoMA PS1. In the past years, she has also worked as a Gallery Assistant, an Art Technician, and as a Registrar in a few art galleries in New York City.
Based on her experience in the art market, she joined the Collections Management team as an Art Technician for the Brooklyn Museum. During her years in this institution, she was immersed in the hands-on experience of producing exhibitions where she worked on blockbuster attractions along with the day-to-day operations. Notable exhibitions include ‘David Bowie Is’, ‘Proof: Francisco Goya, Sergei Eisenstein, Robert Longo’, ‘Marilyn Minter: Pretty/Dirty’, and many more.
Who is your favorite designer ever? And what one question would you ask them?
One of my favorite designer is Olafur Eliasson and I would love to ask him where does he look for inspiration to create his work.
