Cat Kucharek
Cat is a brand designer with 10+ years of experience in branding, information design, print, web, motion, and signage. She combines her love for storytelling with the built environment in moments both big and small.
Ready for any challenge, Cat brings design thinking and problem-solving to a range of projects including campus branding and signage master plans, a tv-network redesign, infographics for magazine editorials, branding collateral for opera festivals, and redesigning the permit application guidelines for NYC's Landmarks Preservation Commission.
Her work has received a Merit Award from the SEGD, and has been featured in Metropolis Magazine and Architectural Record. Cat has also been a guest critic at the Yale School of Art and the Cooper Union. She also enjoys mentoring young designers and has done so through partnerships with the Chelsea Career & Technical Education High School and the Cooper Hewitt Scholars Program. She graduated with a BFA from The Cooper Union with The Henry Dropkin Award for Excellence in Graphic Design. She also studied information design at the Universität der Künste Berlin, and exhibition design at Pratt Institute.
