Carol Evangelista is a Project Manager for Wayfinding, Signage and Graphics at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, the University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell, consistently recognized as a leader in medical education, groundbreaking research, and innovative, patient-centered clinical care. Based in New York City, it is one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive hospitals and a leading provider in all areas of medicine.
Carol Evangelista is a graphic designer with expertise in print design, digital and offset print production, publishing and creative project management. As a production person, Carol enjoyed the fast-paced production process from design to color matching to paper selection; every single detail makes a big difference. Carol then moved to publishing as a Senior Production Editor for a Macmillan company, which engaged her in the ins and outs of a printed magazine. She took on some project management work, which helped her keep production on-schedule and beat tight deadlines. Carol is action-oriented and proactive which is key in getting a project off the ground and moving forward and focusing on results.
At present as a Project Manager for Wayfinding, Signage and Graphics at NYP, I’m ready to use all these years of experiences and learned lessons to help make my institution a stress-free, navigable labyrinth with an effective and organized wayfinding system and to help maintain sign standards throughout the enterprise.
Carol Evangelista hopes to gain more knowledge to better understand the process involved in Wayfinding and Experiential graphic design. It’s a great resource to be a member of SEGD, and she hopes to share her experiences to help others.
