The SEGD Achievement Awards honor the people and companies who set the standard for excellence in the field of experiential design—and you, our members, have the opportunity to participate in 2022’s nomination process! Know an outstanding design educator? A firm or client leading the way in innovation? A chapter chair who has gone above and beyond? Then submit a nomination! See the updated award descriptions below and help us honor those members who exemplify excellence.
Each year, SEGD presents Achievement Award to organization members and member firms in six different categories:
- Distinguished Member
- Chapter Chair
- Fellow (which is the most prestigious of all!)
Recipients include laureates and innovators in the field, champions of meaningful design and long-standing partners who have contributed significantly to the success of our organization. Achievement Award winners will be announced and presented at the 2022 SEGD Annual Conference scheduled for June 16–18 in Portland, Oregon.
This year, the Achievement Awards committee has taken a moment to re-examine the descriptions of each award and the criteria for nominations, to make it easier for SEGD members to take part in the nomination process.
“We really want to encourage and welcome people to engage and participate,” says Lucy Holmes, SEGD Board member, 2021 Awards Committee Chair and Principal of Holmes Studio (London). “It’s an opportunity to distinguish someone from our community and to celebrate their contributions.”
