2017 SEGD Global Design Awards

So you're a designer, fabricator, client or student from anywhere in the world...

...and you've got an amazing project you or your team completed between 1/1/2014 and 12/31/2016 in one of the following seven categories:

  1. Digital Experience Content
  2. Exhibitions
  3. Interactive Experiences
  4. Placemaking and Identity
  5. Public Installations
  6. Strategy/Research/Planning
  7. Wayfinding

Let's talk deadlines:

  • Bad news: You're already late. (The first deadline was 1/31/2017.)
  • Good news: You can enter late entries (with a late fee) through 2/14/2017. (Happy Valentine's Day!)

What's required:

Not sure if your project is right for the awards?

Still on the fence? Here are 10 great reasons to participate:

  1. It's good for business.(Really! And even if you don't win.)
  2. The SEGD Global Design Awards is the only international design program that focuses exclusively on user experiences in the built environment.
  3. The award was designed by legendary designer Massimo Vignelli. (Enough said!)
  4. Increased publicity for you, your project and your firm.
  5. The SEGD Global Design Awards includes a special category for "giving back." The Sylvia Harris Design Award recognizes the critical importance of accessible public-sector design work and enhancement of communication for projects in the public realm.
  6. The 2017 Jury line-up is pretty awesome.
  7. Everyone else is doing it.
  8. This: "We only enter two awards, the SEGD Global Design Awards and the Type Directors Club."  — Paula Scher, Pentagram
  9. The awards ceremony will be held at the 2017 SEGD Conference Experience Miami.
  10. If you don't enter, you can't win. (Obvious yes, but true!)
