135 firms participated in the first SEGD Business Management Software survey, which is a positive result for a first survey, considering there are 825 SEGD member firms currently. Previous to this survey, the industry has been devoid of a benchmark for which software packages work best for experiential graphic design practitioners. Through the survey, we received many comments from members who were unsure of what software to use. Hopefully, this survey becomes a tool for practitioners and firms to find beneficial software solutions.
The 2017 SEGD Management Software Survey was intentionally kept short and simple, but if you have comments, suggestions or questions related to managing your business you would like to see implemented in the survey for next year, please let SEGD know via email.Thank you to all who participated—SEGD cannot present data to the community without your vital input.

In 2015 SEGD held the first ever Business of Design event in Denver. This April, the Business of Design event will make it's biannual return in Portland, Ore. Thanks to participant feedback from the 2015 event, SEGD has lined up a fantastic set of speakers including experts from outside the experiential graphic design field to share their expertise and acumen. There's no time like now, after a few years of growth, to sit down with a group of professionals to review and work through strategy and planning options for your business.
