Base Design (New York) was recognized by Fast Co. Design for their proposed new NASA identity. Fast Co. cited their work, along with that of Wolff Olins, Pentagram, Moving Brands, and others as being one of the best design exercises for 2012.
The firm was tapped to re-brand French culture in America; this included a new identity and digital platform for the Cultural Services Division of the French Embassy. The result is a pioneering example of cultural outreach in the digital age. The logo is a symbolic palette derived from the colors of the French flag; a graphic gesture depicts La Marianne, the icon of the French state.
Other recent work includes a new identity for Santiago Mi, an annual festival of performing arts in Chile; an exclusive signature for glass provider Glastetik; a new visual identity for the website of Edusfera, a renowned Spanish educational publishing house; a new visual identity for Belgian luxury brand Delvaux; and a multi-platform brand identity for Fleur du Mal, a lingerie company.
