Arrowstreet (Somerville, Mass.) renovated an underutilized lobby to encourage collaboration at BioMed Realty's facility within the Kendall Square lab market; a video display features a dynamic underwater scene, bringing color and activity to the space.
To update the Harvard Square Hotel (Cambridge, Mass.), the firm designed a stunning transformation into a modern boutique hotel. The elegant lobby features a sunlit living room with vibrant, comfortable furnishings. The guest room design takes cues from Harvard's traditions, with light colors punctuated with crimson accents and oversized campus photographs.
Arrowstreet designed a sleek, new LEED-Certified corporate headquarters for Rechler. The design is a unique fusion between high-tech, art, and the building's industrial roots. Open steel joists are complemented by high-end architectural details; polished concrete floors are offset by walls of rough, organic textured wood. The project was featured in The New York Times.
Currently, the firm is updating the historic Canoe Place Inn in the Hamptons to recapture its former glamorous style and character. Interiors will reflect a mix of well-loved traditional elements with a modern, stylish aesthetic.
