Combining AR and Sound to Add New Dimensions to Indigenous Artist Josh Muir, Becky Sui Zhen & Isobel Knowles

Becky Sui Chen, Producer and Sound and Music Supervisor, and Isobel Knowles a multi-disciplinary artist joined us all the way from Melbourne, Australia.  Becky and Isobel discussed their work Combining AR and Sound to Add New Dimensions to Indigenous Artist Josh Muir.

Becky Sui Chen works to meaningfully incorporate technology into visitor experiences for art galleries, museums and cultural organisations. Her goal is to inspire deeper engagement with artworks or artefacts by drawing on the emotive landscape, taking a cinematic approach to experience design. As an experimental pop and performance artist, Sui Chen has zoomed in on the intersections between human life and technology.

Isobel Knowles investigates different aspects of human experience and engages viewers physically and emotionally through technology, narrative and interaction. Isobel’s storytelling practice focuses on collaboration with communities and individuals to sensitively portray their stories through animation. Her work has been screened nationally and internationally and she has won numerous awards including the best VR at the 2020 Thessaloniki Film Festival.
