Ana Benatuil is an Architectural Designer and Urbanist graduate from Florida International University on 2013. Ana is passionate about the convergence of cities and technology to solve the challenges that affect our environment, infrastructure and quality of life. Ana is an architectural designer at Gensler.
Ana Benatuil won the Knight Foundation Global Impact Competition in Miami that led her to the Global Solutions Program at Singularity University in 2015. She is also the recipient of multiple awards and exhibits for her Urban Master Plan proposal to adapt to the upcoming challenges of Sea Level Rise in Miami which was exhibited at the National Headquarters of the American Institute of Architects in Washington DC at their yearly Emerging Professionals Exhibition in 2014.
Ana Benatuil serves currently as a Co-Chair for the Sea Level Rise Task force at AIA Miami and she is an Architectural Designer at Gensler the leading global design firm. Ana believes that technology plays an important role in creating strategies to deal with Sea Level Rise, from raising awareness to developing building systems that use water as a valued resource for energy generation, conservation and consumption. The implementation of cut fill city in South Florida, could become a prototype to many other coastal cities around the world at risk of Sea Level Rise, improving the lives of millions, if not billions of people.
