Amy Rees is a successful, talented, award-winning designer, educator and active professional in the graphic design community with broad experience, working as a consultant within small studio environments as well as larger design firms, servicing a diverse client base, including both established institutions as well as upstart organizations.
Known for using passionate storytelling to illustrate and communicate the clients’ “stories” in every design project. Significant accomplishments in graphic design, signage, wayfinding and exhibit design.
Keen ability to manage through the complete life cycle of a project from business development, marketing and concept through design, development and implementation and fabrication. Skilled at managing multi-disciplinary teams that have collaborated to create large scale, high profile projects with budgets up to and over $1 million. Known for bringing projects in on time and within budget.
Strong record of accomplishment in establishing and nurturing client relationships, resulting in a high level of customer loyalty and repeat business.
Actively engaged in educating students from across design disciplines, by serving as Adjunct Faculty member at Drexel University, Philadelphia University and University of the Arts, developing and delivering extensive coursework, focusing on professional communications, graphic design and environmental graphic design. Committed to engaging the students’ understanding the importance of research, planning, storytelling, and presenting through class assignments and ‘live’ client driven projects. Recognized as a strong mentor and advisor to students pursuing design careers, including students who received recognition and awards for worked produced in class.
