Alexey Ikonomou has acquired a diverse professional background and a wealth of design experience. As a creative director, he excels at team building through inspirational creative guidance. His approach to projects starts with a holistic understanding of the overall goals followed by the implementation of a plan for strategic differentiation.
Alexey deepened his expertise in establishing brand strategy during his time at Atlanta-based Antista Fairclough, where he worked on brand development and packaging design for Fortune 500 clients such as Anheuser-Busch, British Petroleum, and Gillette. He furthered his appreciation for industrial and architectural design as environmental graphic designer at the global architectural firm RTKL, where he worked on numerous projects in the U.S. as well as Great Britain, Korea, Portugal, and Dubai.
Since joining Ashton Design, Alexey Ikonomou has been a design lead on prominent identity and environmental graphics projects in mixed-use development and retail projects, universities and private schools, residential, hospitality, sports venues and stadiums such as Oriole Park at Camden Yards and Dodger Stadium.
He holds dual bachelor degrees in business/marketing and mass communications/advertising from Towson University and received his graduate degree in graphic design at Portfolio Center in Atlanta, where he received the prestigious national design award from the Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD). Alexey Ikonomou serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Art and Design at Towson University.
