Alexa Williams is an interior design student at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle WA. She is also an interior designer at ZGF Architects.

Born in Vancouver Canada, Alexa Williams grew up in a family of designers and builders. Her mother and aunt are well-respected interior designers and her father is a boat builder. This gave Alexa great insight into the industry from an early age and hands on experience with design. Since she was little, Alexa has enjoyed drawing, creating and building.

After traveling abroad, Alexa decided that she was ready to pursue a career as an interior designer. In the fall of 2012, she enrolled in the interior design program at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. The program has a strong focus on conceptual design that has helped Alexa delve into each project.

Alexa’s philosophy is that design should be honest, elegant and ultimately better the human spirit. Her attention to detail and sophisticated eye extends to all of her work. She focuses on applying her understanding of the human condition to create environements that enhance the spirit.

Alexa has been central in the leadership of the Cornish Interior Architecture Student Interest Group for the past two years.  Additionally, Alexa Williams has been a board member for the IIDA PSCC council and is this years council president.

When Alexa isn’t designing, she enjoys cooking, reading and spoiling her horse, Dallas.
