AECOM Designs Wayfinding for Greenville Cultural Campus

AECOM (Los Angeles and worldwide) wayfinding studio recently finished work for Heritage Green, a project located on a two-square block downtown cultural campus on the northwest side of the Downtown Central Business District in Greenville, S.C.

The campus includes the Upcountry History Museum, the Hughes Main Library of the Greenville County Library System, the Greenville Little Theatre, the Greenville County Museum of Art, the Children’s Museum of the Upstate, and the Museum & Gallery at Heritage Green.

Enhancing the character of the campus, AECOM developed a vibrant wayfinding system and landscape architectural improvements that included a gateway (with Daktronics digital screens), corner entry features, and a comprehensive pedestrian package tailored to the campus brand. Through the Heritage Green design project, the effort helped turn a site of individual institutions and programs into a collaborative and unified campus that accommodates all users for ease of access and strong sense of place.
